Emery Reid, illustrator, was a former student of mine in first grade and again in fourth grade. He lives with his wife Cathy, 2 daughters Lucy and Lydia, and 1 son Graham in Southwest Virginia. Emery and his family also attend First Baptist Church in Damascus, Virginia. They are very active with children's church, nursery, and Sunday School. Emery has always been a wonderful artist (although he may not want to admit that). When he agreed to do the illustrations for my books, I only asked him to do something different than he had seen before. As you can see if you purchase the Bible story books, the pictures are beautiful. They are indeed different than others you have seen. He had a very different vision for the story's pictures. I was very impressed with the way they turned out. I think you will be too if you see them.
This is me and Rebecca Winters who illustrated "Fletcher's Fables" for me. She works as a cake decorator but her favorite job is working with children as their ministry leader at her church. She is a wonderful artist and did a fabulous job with the animals of Woods Land. I hope you will get the book and see her art work and read my stories.
